Today I want to give you a quick update on what to expect for the next 7 trading days. The market is at a standstill and we are not out of the woods yet. Do we make new lows? I think that’s a low probability, but here is what I’m watching out for. I’m also using this time to take advantage of opportunites.

Here’s what we are covering:

1. $QQQ ( ▲ 0.73% ) and $VIX ( ▼ 1.19% ) - Headline Risk & Key Levels

QQQ and VIX - Key Levels

QQQ closed at $484 which was a key level of support. If we do not hold these levels tomorrow, we will be heading back into the $466 to $484 channel we have been trading in for the last couple weeks.

While $466 is not out of the cards, I do not think we will make new lows as $VIX ( ▼ 1.19% ) is currently trading around $18 which signifies the fear is not as elevated as it was in the past two weeks with VIX trading at $29. Sellers will have another chance to bring the market down going into the April 2nd tariffs talk.

Markets are forward looking, so once the news is out on Wednesday, the market has already digested the good or the bad.

I do think we get a VIX spike to $20 by next week. So prepare accordingly. Overall, I’m bullish long term as the economic numbers and fed rate cuts have not changed much.

The economic calendar is also packed next week, which gives investors headline risk. April 2nd tariffs, ADP employment numbers, and US unemployment will all play a big factor on if this economy is holding steady.
