This week was another solid week for the bulls. While bad news came out about $NVDA ( ▼ 2.87% ) being impacted by trade policies, the market seemed to digest the info with less fear than the previous week. With market structure maintaining these levels, I setup a few new high reward trades. Do we continue higher next week or lower? Here’s my take.

QQQ and VIX - Key Levels

If you zoom out and look at the weekly chart of $QQQ ( ▼ 0.02% ) (each candlestick represents one week) you can see that this week made a higher low. You can also see that the selling volume has slowed down significantly, which is what we want to see going into next week.

$VIX ( ▼ 9.16% ) did close a hair below 30 this week which also shows that fear is slowly subsiding, but it’s still elevated overall as the tariffs uncertainty is not behind us yet.

I believe the presidential administration, will make a “grand announcement” once deals are made, just like they did with “Liberation Day”. My timeline on when these deals are going to be, is in the next 1 to 3 weeks. I could be wrong, but I believe these deals need to happen for all countries, including the US sooner rather than later.

Any piece of positive news will send the markets much higher. A deal with China, would end this downturn completely and send markets back to all time highs.

The risk is to the upside, therefore that’s how i’m playing this current market.

The S5FI index is still indicating the stocks are extremely oversold. This is the greatest time for contrarian investors and traders like us to take advantage of volatility and cheap prices.
